Schleicher County is located at the top of the Edwards Plateau.  We have some of the best deer and turkey hunting in the State of  Texas.  Every year, we have numerous trophy quality bucks taken in the county.  The turkey hunting in this area is so renowned that it has been featured on many hunting shows!!!
