PRESS RELEASE
For release: When space available Contact: Jim Runge at eoboc@hotmail.comFREESTYLE PRO-WRESTLING COMES TO THE ELGOATAROD A lot is being made of the April Fools Day Parade during the Eldorado Elgoatarod, but there is more to it than that. I mean, like, deep down, we are pretty superficial. For instance, while the parade is the feature event for Saturday, April 1, on Sunday afternoon, April 2, Freestyle Pro-Wrestling Entertainment will be featured. This group of wrestlers from around ths state will present five matches with a three way match for the heavyweight title as the main event, beginning at 4 PM on Sunday. Admission to the festival is free, as is parking, but there will be a $5 per person charge for those wishing to watch the wrestling matches. Children under 12 are admitted free to the wrestling with a paid adult admission. Sandwiched in between the goat races, parade and wrestling matches will be a plethora of various contests of either April Foolishness variety or a goat variety. Such as a Worst Elvis Impersonator Contest, goat pill flipping contest, goat kissing contest, chigger catching contest, ugly goat contest, gnat races, goat fry cook-off and 4 x 4 ski races. A band will also entertain during the day on Saturday afternoon. Add to that the midway of inflatables and a rock climbing wall, food booths galore, arts and crafts and just plain ole’ goats to pet. Food booths are being accepted until March 20 and all other booths are being accepted until March 27. The parade prizes continue to grow with Super S Foods providing a $100 first prize to the best parade entry to the April Fools theme. The most humorous entry receives $75 and the largest group also receives $75. The best individual entry receives $50. The best children’s entry receives $25. There is no entry fee for the parade and more entries are always encouraged. A very laid back affair, as any April Fools event should be, all one needs to do is just show up by 1 PM Saturday, if you would like to enter the parade. Sponsorships are still available for the different parade categories. Interested sponsors should contact Jim Runge at eoboc@hotmail.com for details.April Fools Day Parade Prizes
